The West Arthur Community Resource Centre (CRC) was established (as the West Arthur Telecentre) in 1997 to provide local community access to equipment and technology, adult education and a range of desktop publishing services. The CRC continues to develop over the years and now provides a comprehensive range of services and fulfils a variety of valuable community roles.
The CRC is a not-for-profit association managed by a Management Committee elected from members. It receives funding from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development which is topped up with fees for service and contract income, corporate sponsorship and community fundraising.
The West Arthur Community Resource Centre is located in the Health and Resource Centre at 27 Burrowes Street, Darkan, and open between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday-Friday.
